Bukit Bintang Drone Show: Malaysia’s First Recurring Drone Light Show

If you’ve been to Bukit Bintang at night since early April, you may have noticed something new in the sky.

Every weekend there’s a drone show happening in Bukit Bintang. This is not a one-time event. It is Malaysia’s first recurring drone light show, and one of the first of its kind in Southeast Asia.

Most Malaysians are familiar with drone shows during major events like New Year celebrations or product launches. But, this Bukit Bintang drone show is different. It happens regularly, at the same location and same time each week.

As a result, people are starting to respond naturally.

They stop.

They look up.

They record videos.

Some even leave Google reviews.

Some of the best viewing area for this Bukit Bintang drone show is the stretch from the Lot 10 area, near the McDonald’s-sponsored KL’s Shibuya Crossing and all the way to Pavilion KL’s fountain area.

Based on our current estimates, the Bukit Bintang drone show is generating on average 370,000+ multi-layer impressions across Bukit Bintang, the upper floors from TRX, Equatorial Plaza and KLCC - Petronas Twin Towers combining for a high-attention ground traffic with extended skyline visibility.

This project is executed by Drone Sifu, a drone show company that has powered 95% of drone light shows in Malaysia. Their experience allows these shows to be executed safely, consistently, and at scale every week.

This Bukit Bintang drone show is quickly becoming a new attraction in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, contributing to the Visit Malaysia 2026 efforts.

More importantly, it shows that a drone show in Malaysia can be more than a one-off spectacle.

It is something people look forward to every week. (At least based on the Google reviews. 😏😉 )
